Why Nothing and Nonsense
(To discover my mission, please see my About Page)
There is an overload of information today. Whatever you want to know about, you'll find it.
And with the introduction of AI like ChatGpt or DeepSeek, whatever you want to make up (or lie about) is also flooding the web.
So let me assure my 3 or 4 readers that all the posts, articles and nonsense advice you see here, will be written by me, Rob, and not a Rob ot.
In a previous working life I was Life Enhancement coach for more than 30 years. In that time, I must have written over 800++ articles and posts and recorded more than 100 videos (and a real lame, dozen or so podcasts.
Why, I even had a book published.
All the content I created was mostly about self-development, the subconscious mind and behaviour.
It was quite tough coming up with new ideas especially as the self-development niches were all drowning in competition. And life coaching in particular, began to explode.
So yeah, I got fed-up writing about all that stuff, and quit it altogether. Nowadays, one quick Google search, or a chat with an AI system, and you find all you need to know about self-improvement.
But the writer in me still wants to write. The coach that has always been in me, still wants to 'coach'.
So I had to find a way to find something to write about that at the same time excited me and, I wouldn't be in competition with a bot.
After shaking my brains around for a couple of years, I decided to start this blog site so I could quench my thirst for writing - writing about nothing.
To feed the hungry coach in me, I decided to add a nonsense advice service. This is where you can message me with your problems, worries or concerns, about anything, and I will give you nonsensical advice (I better get a good Disclaimer, me thinks).
The really good side of writing about nothing and nonsense, is there is no pressure anymore.
What I mean by that is before, everytime I would sit down to write, I not only had to ponder the topic and write in such a way that my readers could take something away from reading it.
But also, I had to weave into the article about how it would serve me, through gaining more clients via subscriptions or, how it could lead a little later on to me acquiring a new coaching client.
It wasn't easy, but I did it.
So despite my M.E. (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) and Fibromyalgia both of which cause extreme exhaustion, severe flu like symptoms and incredible brainfog (to name but a few symptoms), now I can write for the sheer joy and pleasure it will bring me.
Also, I am no longer stressed about the size of my 'list', how many views or likes I get or how many customers I have gotten this month.
Bingo.
If you would like to send me a problem, dilemma or something that has you stuck, and would like some "nonsense advice" drop me a message here.
Hopefully, you will find my answer funny. The world needs a little more humour right now, don't you think?
Everyday, find something to make you smile.
